On this page, you will find a &#8220;SMS notification settings&#8221; section<\/li>\n<li>Enable SMS notification<\/li>\n<li>If the notification is addressed to an administrator, you can enter the phone number of the recipient(s) (comma separated)\n<ul>\n<li>The telephone numbers must include their country code (e.g.: <code>+44<\/code> for the UK) and omit the initial &#8220;0&#8221; (e.g.: <code>+44612345678<\/code> )<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Input the SMS content\n<ul>\n<li>You can use tags (e.g.: <code>{booking_id}<\/code> ) but not HTML<\/li>\n<li>You are limited to 160 characters per SMS, and they must all be included in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/GSM_03.38#GSM_7-bit_default_alphabet_and_extension_table_of_3GPP_TS_23.038_.2F_GSM_03.38\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">this table<\/a>. If one of them is different (e.g.: &#8220;\u00ea&#8221;, &#8220;\u00e7&#8221;, &#8220;\u0431&#8221;, &#8220;\u79c1&#8221;, &#8220;&#x263a;&#8221;, etc.), your quota drops to 67 characters.<\/li>\n<li>If you exceed the number of characters allowed, you will not send one, but several SMS. Your balance will decrease accordingly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Retrieve your customers&#8217; phone number<\/h3>\n<p>If you use WooCommerce, Notification Pack will naturally use the phone number in the &#8220;Phone&#8221; field of the user&#8217;s billing address. If the country code (e.g.: <code>+44<\/code> ) is not specified, it will use the billing country to determine it.<\/p>\n<p>If you do not use WooCommerce or if you do not want to use the billing address phone number, here&#8217;s how to proceed. SMS notifications will use the phone number stored in the <code>phone<\/code> field of the <code>usermeta<\/code> table.<\/p>\n<p>In your registration forms make sure you have a field<br \/>\n<code>&lt;input type=\"text\" name=\"phone\" \/&gt;<\/code><br \/>\nThen save its value this way<br \/>\n<code>update_user_meta( $user_id, 'phone', $_GET['phone'] );<\/code><\/p>\n<p>If the name of the &#8220;phone&#8221; field does not suit you, you can change it thanks to this code, that you can embed in a plugin such as <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/code-snippets\/\" target=\"_blank\">Code Snippets<\/a>:<br \/>\n<code>add_filter( 'banp_user_phone_meta_key', function( $key ) { return 'your_field_name'; } );<\/code><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Get customers&#8217; permission<\/h3>\n<p>Now that you have your customers phone numbers, you have to make sure they are willing to receive SMS from you.<\/p>\n<p>Notification Pack provides a shortcode that will allow you to display a subscribe \/ unsubscribe button: <code>[bookingactivities_user_notification_settings]<\/code>.<br \/>\nYour customers will only have to activate the option to allow you to send them SMS.<\/p>\n<p>With WooCommerce, you can display this button in the customers&#8217; &#8220;My account&#8221; page > &#8220;Account details&#8221; tab. Go to Booking Activities > Settings > WooCommerce tab > Notification settings in My Account = select &#8220;All&#8221; or &#8220;Allow SMS notifications&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>If you do not want to go through this button, just store <code>0<\/code> or <code>1<\/code> in the <code>banp_sms_allowed<\/code> field in the <code>usermeta<\/code> table.<\/p>\n<p>However, you can bypass this check:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to the Booking Activities settings, &#8220;Notifications&#8221; tab<\/li>\n<li>Enable the option &#8220;Allow default SMS&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thus, you consider everyone as subscribed until one do unsubscribe. Indeed, you can still unsubscribe using the shortcode button mentioned above.<\/p>\n<p>You are now ready to send SMS to your customers!<\/p>\n<p>We now invite you to <a href=\"https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/en\/docs\/user-documentation\/get-started-with-notification-pack-add-on\/push-notifications-initial-configuration\/\">configure Notification Pack to send Push notifications<\/a>.
