{"id":5764,"date":"2019-05-09T15:54:52","date_gmt":"2019-05-09T13:54:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/fr\/docs\/documentation-utilisateur\/demarrer-avec-le-module-prices-and-credits\/define-prices-per-price-categories-and-volume-discounts\/"},"modified":"2023-06-22T16:59:42","modified_gmt":"2023-06-22T14:59:42","slug":"define-prices-per-price-categories","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/en\/docs\/user-documentation\/get-started-with-prices-and-credits-add-on\/define-prices-per-price-categories\/","title":{"rendered":"Define prices per price categories"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You know how to <a href=\"https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/en\/docs\/user-documentation\/get-started-with-prices-and-credits-add-on\/set-up-special-prices-in-cash-or-in-credits-and-discounts-on-events\/\">define a price in cash or in credits for your events<\/a>.<br \/>\nAnd now you want to set up price categories (&#8220;Adults&#8221;, &#8220;Children&#8221;, &#8220;Students&#8221;, &#8220;Seniors&#8221;, etc.) and set appropriate prices for each one.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"manage-price-categories\">Manage price categories<\/h3>\n<p>Let&#8217;s start by creating a price category:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to Booking Activities > Calendar Editor\n<li>Go to any event settings, &#8220;Price&#8221; tab\n<li>Click the &#8220;+&#8221; icon next to &#8220;Price categories&#8221;, a dialog will appear\n<li>Click the &#8220;Create a price category&#8221; button, a dialog will appear once more\n<li><strong>Title<\/strong>: The price category&#8217;s title. Choose a short and relevant title. It will be used to refer to this category in narrow places.\n<li><strong>Label<\/strong>: Text displayed before the quantity field. You can use HTML tags.\n<li>The following options allow you to create discounts for groups of people (e.g. a family of four, a group of 10 to 15 people, etc.) (<a href=\"https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/en\/blog\/prices-and-credits-1-8-group-discounts\/\">more info<\/a>)\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Min<\/strong>: Minimum quantity per booking. This does not make the price category mandatory, customers can leave its quantity at 0.\n<li><strong>Max<\/strong>: Maximum quantity per reservation. It is possible to exceed this number by making several separate reservations.\n<li><strong>In groups of<\/strong>: increment. The quantity must be a multiple of this number.\n<li><strong>Select the number of groups<\/strong>: multiply the quantity by the &#8220;By groups of&#8221; option value.\n<li><strong>Required<\/strong>: Makes the price category mandatory for every booking. The customer will need to enter a quantity greater than or equal to 1 (or to the &#8220;Min&#8221; option value if applicable).\n<\/ul>\n<li>In the &#8220;Permissions&#8221; tab, you will find an option to define who is allowed to manage this price category\n<li>Validate the dialog\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your price category has been added to the dropdown in the second dialog box. Select it. You will then see <strong>two icons<\/strong> next to the selectbox: one to <strong>change the price category settings<\/strong>, the other to <strong>delete it<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<em>Note that if you delete the price category, all prices associated with it will also be removed (from all events, activities, groups of events, and group categories).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"price-per-price-categories\">Set a different price for each price category<\/h3>\n<p>Now that you have created your price category, you will want to set your event price for this category.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to Booking Activities > Calendar Editor\n<li>Go to the desired event (or activity, or group of events, or group category) settings, &#8220;Price&#8221; tab\n<li>Click the &#8220;+&#8221; icon next to &#8220;Price categories&#8221;, a dialog will appear\n<li>Select the desired price category in the dropdown\n<li>Validate the dialog\n<\/ul>\n<p>This will add a fieldset (with &#8220;Price&#8221; and &#8220;Credits&#8221; fields) specifically for this price category.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enter the desired price in the field of the &#8220;Price&#8221; and \/ or &#8220;Credits&#8221; columns\n<ul>\n<li><em>You can also <a href=\"https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/en\/docs\/user-documentation\/get-started-with-prices-and-credits-add-on\/set-up-different-prices-according-to-quantity\/\">set up volume discounts<\/a> for this price category<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>Validate the dialog\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can add as many price categories as you need this way.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"price-categories-per-booking-form\">Show price category fields on the booking form<\/h3>\n<p>Now you need to decide which price categories will be available on which forms.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to Booking Activities > Booking Forms > <em>your form<\/em>\n<li>Go to the &#8220;Quantity \/ Price categories&#8221; field settings\n<li>Add the desired price categories\n<li>Validate the dialog\n<\/ul>\n<p>The quantity field is then replaced by several fields, one for each price category.<br \/>\nOnce the form is displayed on your site, you will notice that the subtotal appears in front of the fields as the quantity increases.<br \/>\nIf you use WooCommerce, you will also be able to change the quantity of each price category from the shopping cart.<\/p>\n<p>You can also <a href=\"https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/en\/docs\/user-documentation\/get-started-with-prices-and-credits-add-on\/set-up-different-prices-according-to-quantity\/\">set up volume discounts<\/a> for each of your price categories.<\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"parent":608,"menu_order":2,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_is_vendor_doc":"0","footnotes":""},"doc_tag":[],"class_list":["post-5764","docs","type-docs","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Define prices per price categories - Booking Activities<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/en\/docs\/documentation-utilisateur\/demarrer-avec-le-module-prices-and-credits\/definir-des-prix-par-categories-de-prix\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Define prices per price categories - Booking Activities\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"You know how to define a price in cash or in credits for your events.
