Moreover, you will be able to <strong>send multiple automatic notifications<\/strong>, with different delays <strong>in minutes<\/strong>, <strong>before and after<\/strong> the bookings, to the administrators or to the customers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Add notifications<\/h2>\n<p>Go to Booking Activities > Settings > Notifications tab to find the <strong>&#8220;Add a notification<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A dialog appears to let you choose the <strong>recipient<\/strong> (administrator or customer) and the <strong>trigger<\/strong> among:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Delay<\/strong> before or after a booking \/ a booked event (scheduled notification)\n<li>The booking <strong>status changes<\/strong> (Delivered, Booked, Pending, Cancelled, Refund requested, Refunded)\n<li>A <strong>new booking<\/strong> is made (regardless of the status)\n<li>The booking is <strong>rescheduled<\/strong>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So you can add <strong>some new notifications<\/strong>, create <strong>multiple reminders<\/strong> with different delays, send <strong>automated notifications before or after a booked event to the administrators too<\/strong>. a trigger to create a notification<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The scheduled notification sent to the <strong>administrators<\/strong> are sent <strong>once per booked event<\/strong>, while those sent to the <strong>customers<\/strong> are sent <strong>once per booking<\/strong> (one event can have multiple bookings).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Filter notification per calendar \/ per activity&#8230;<\/h2>\n<p>You can also create the same notification multiple times, and then <strong>define filters in their settings<\/strong> so that one notification will be used only for a specific <strong>calendar<\/strong>, a specific <strong>activity<\/strong>, a specific <strong>group category<\/strong>, or only for <strong>groups<\/strong> \/ only for <strong>single calendar, activity,  group category or booking type<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This allows you to send <strong>notifications tailored to the different types of activities<\/strong> you offer.<\/p>\n<p>If you are using <a href=\"https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/en\/blog\/set-up-a-booking-marketplace-with-booking-activities\/\">Booking Activities on a marketplace<\/a>, you will be able to <strong>create different notifications for each vendors<\/strong> (by filtering your notifications per calendar). <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Set the scheduled notifications delay in minutes<\/h2>\n<p>You can set the delay <strong>before or after<\/strong> the event in the scheduled notification settings. This delay can be set <strong>in minutes, hours or days<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12428\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12428\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/notifications-pack-scheduled-notification-delay-option.png\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12428 lazyload\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12428\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/notifications-pack-scheduled-notification-delay-option.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12428\" srcset=\"https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/notifications-pack-scheduled-notification-delay-option.png 719w, https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/notifications-pack-scheduled-notification-delay-option-300x46.png 300w, https:\/\/booking-activities.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/notifications-pack-scheduled-notification-delay-option-150x23.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 719px) 100vw, 719px\" \/><\/noscript> Set a delay in minutes before or after the booking<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>For example:<\/strong> If you set it to &#8220;30 minutes before the event&#8221;, then the notification will be automatically sent 30 minutes (or less) before the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The accuracy<\/strong> is directly related to the &#8220;Scheduled notifications trigger&#8221; option in Booking Activities > Settings > Notifications tab. So <strong>the notification may not be sent on time \/ at all<\/strong>. So if no page are loaded during the set delay, the notification won&#8217;t be sent. If a page is loaded but later than the desired delay, the notification will be late too.<\/ul>\n<li>If the &#8220;Scheduled notifications trigger&#8221; option is set to <strong>&#8220;On a specific page load (cron required)&#8221;<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>You must visit the provided link every 15 minutes for proper operation (with a cron).<\/ul>\n<li>If multiple scheduled notifications are set and if the previous ones could not be sent, only the latest is sent.\n<li>If the scheduled notification could not be sent before the event, and the event is now past, the notification won&#8217;t be sent.\n<li>The notification won&#8217;t be sent when it is created \/ updated for the events currently meeting the conditions. Similarly, the notification won&#8217;t be sent when an event \/ booking currently meeting the conditions is created.\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>There is also a <strong>minimum delay of 15mn<\/strong> by default between each check, to keep good performances. <\/p>\n<div style=\"border:1px solid #ccc; padding: 15px; background: #f8f8f8; font-size: 89%;\">\nAdvanced users, you can change that minimum interval by code:<br \/>\n<code>add_filter( 'banp_scheduled_notifications_min_delay', function(){ return 900; } ); \/\/ 900s = 15mn<\/code><br \/>\n<br \/>\nHowever, remember that 1 check per minute = 1440 checks a day, while 1 check per quarter hour = 360 checks a day only. If you are using a cron, 1 check = 1 additional server request, if you are not using a cron 1 check = 1 page load that may take longer, especially if the &#8220;Asynchronous Notifications&#8221; option is deactivated. So it is recommended to <strong>keep that number as high as is acceptable for you<\/strong>.\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Automatic notifications after the bookings<\/h2>\n<p>Right after you set the delay, choose whether to send the notification <strong>before or after<\/strong> the booking (for customer) \/ the booked event (for administrators).<\/p>\n<p>This is useful to <strong>gather feedback from your customers<\/strong>, or to <strong>keep them coming back<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Send scheduled notifications once per group<\/h2>\n<p>The scheduled notifications are sent by default once per booking to the customers, and once per booked event to the administrators.<\/p>\n<p>Now if you offer groups of events, you may want these <strong>notifications to be sent only once per booking group \/ group of events<\/strong>.
