Activate and select the waiting list operating mode

After installing and activating the Waiting List add-on, waiting lists are enabled by default on all your website’s booking forms.

Activate Waiting Lists

You can activate or deactivate waiting lists per booking form:

  • Go to Booking Activities > Booking Forms > your form > Calendar Settings > Availability tab
  • Enable waiting lists = ON

Set the operating mode

When an event becomes available, you can choose between three actions to perform, and each booking form can have a different one:

  • Notify everyone: A notification is sent to all participants on the waiting list. First come, first served.
  • Temporarily book: The event is reserved for the first person on the waiting list for a set period. The customer receives a notification and must confirm or decline the booking within the given timeframe; otherwise, the booking is declined, and the process is repeated with the next person on the list.
  • Book: The event is automatically booked for the first person on the waiting list; no confirmation is required.

You can choose your preferred operating mode in the form’s calendar settings:

  • Go to Booking Activities > Booking Forms > your form > Calendar Settings > Availability tab
  • Action when event becomes available = select the desired action
Temporary booking process

Random draw from the waiting list

By default, the waiting list is sorted by booking date: those who joined the list first will be served first.

However, you can shuffle the waiting lists to give all participants an equal chance of being selected.

  • Go to Booking Activities > Booking Forms > your form > Calendar Settings > Availability tab
  • Randomize the waiting lists = ON

Your customers can now join a waiting list for fully booked events on this form.
